Greg & Julie Garrett
Greg and Julie met in Guatemala in 1997 while serving as mission interns with Adventures in Missions. As God grew their family to six, they looked for ways to serve together, and in 2015, they brought their family to Eagle’s Nest for the first time. They quickly fell in love with the ministry and, for the next eight years, returned to lead short-term teams serving at the Nest.
In August 2023, Greg and Julie, along with their youngest daughter, Eleanor, made the move to Guatemala to live and serve at Eagle’s Nest full-time.
Greg owns and operates a real estate and development company and travels back and forth monthly between Guatemala and the United States. At Eagle’s Nest, he provides oversight of the ministry’s finances and fundraising efforts while also helping connect the Nest with the community around us. Greg also serves on both of the ministry’s Boards of Directors (Guatemala board & US board).
Beginning in 2026, Julie began serving as President and Legal Representative of the ministry in Guatemala. Prior to stepping into this role, she served as superintendent of our on-property elementary school, Colegio Nuevo Día.
Together, Greg and Julie lead our Wednesday night youth group and love creating fun activities and opportunities for kids of all ages. Above all, they are passionate about seeing families and children experience the love of Christ through the ministry of Eagle’s Nest.
