With the desire of a few and the work of many the projects at Nido are getting accomplished. We thank everyone who has had a part this summer to make so many improvements to this mountain. We are getting ready for great things. We are pushing hard to have the roof on the second floor ready for classes next year Jan 15. That means lot of funds needed as well. With adoptions being delayed and now more children coming in we're are thinking future plans need to include schooling for the older kids. There are so many legal requirements to have Jr. High added to Colegio Nuevo Dia, but God has a plan and we are just taking it a step at a time.

This past week the kids are learning aboutcleaning up their beautiful country. They have been planting all kids of seeds, flowers and trees. We have a new ramp to the school. We thank the group from Georgia for helping. Then the students brought flowers from home to line the ramp. Everyone working together makes the world a better place, which is pleasing to God.

The court from Mixco called to ask if they could send us 2 children 7 and 8 yr olds. Mimi went in to pick them up. They were given an order to go the a forensic doctor to evaluate their ages. That report has not been given to us yet. Eber told us he was 10 yrs old and his sister Jennifer is 8. Jenni, is special needs. She has a hearing disability and speech problems as a result of by being tongue tied. The children have been abused. A visiting social worker interviewed them and found out that they have 2 younger sibling 5 & 3 which might be coming to us soon. Their parents are drug addicts, and have physically abused the children and they said at times they did not have food. We are not sure how long they will be here and if they will be declared adoptable, but we know that their first court interview is not until December 2010. Help us pray for them as they transition to their new home, new school, and new and maybe first time rules and regulation.
